A template is a reusable shift you can drop onto any day. This guide builds your first one.
Open the template editor
- Tap your avatar in the top-right corner.
- Choose Templates from the menu.
- Tap + Add template to open the editor.
- Click Templates in the left sidebar.
- Click + Add template to open the editor.
Fill in the details
- Title — the full name of the shift, e.g. Early shift. Required.
- Short title — a compact label shown where space is tight, like the calendar. Required.
- All day — turn this on for a shift with no set times (such as a day off). Leave it off for a normal timed shift.
- Start time and End time — shown when All day is off. Set the hours the shift runs. An end time earlier than the start time rolls over to the next day.
Choose an icon and colour
- Leave Use icon on to show a symbol on the shift, or turn it off for no icon.
- With Icon or emoji? you can pick one of the built-in icons (Select your icon) or switch to 🏖️ to choose any emoji (Select your emoji).
- Under Select your template’s colour, pick a colour. This is shown behind the icon and on the calendar, so each template stands out.
Set visibility and notes
- Visibility — choose Public, Private or Hidden to control what friends can see. See template visibility for what each one means.
- Notes — optional. Anything here is carried onto shifts made from this template.
Save
Click Save. Your template now appears on the Templates page, ready to add to your calendar.
