A connected account is a Google or Microsoft account you can sign in to ShiftSync with. You can connect one even if you already sign in with a password, and you can disconnect it later.
Your ShiftSync email address is separate from the address on your connected account. Connecting or disconnecting never changes it.
Open your connected accounts
- Tap your avatar in the top-right corner and choose Settings.
- Open the Account tab and scroll to Connected accounts.
- Click Settings in the left sidebar.
- Open the Account tab and scroll to Connected accounts.
Each provider shows either the address of the account you’ve connected, or Not connected.
Connect an account
- Next to the provider you want, click Connect.
- If your account has a password, enter it and click Continue.
- You’ll be taken to Google or Microsoft to sign in. Once you approve, they’ll send you back to ShiftSync.
When it’s done you’re returned to this page and you’ll see Account connected.
You can connect one account per provider. If the Google or Microsoft account you chose is already connected to a different ShiftSync account, you’ll see That Google account is already connected.
Disconnect an account
- Next to the connected provider, click Disconnect.
- If your account has a password, enter it and click Disconnect. If it doesn’t, confirm in the dialog.
When it’s done you’ll see Account disconnected. You can reconnect it at any time.
You always need a way back in. If a connected account is the only way you can sign in — no password, no passkey, no other connected account — Disconnect is unavailable and you’ll see This is the only way to sign in to your account. Set a password or add a passkey before disconnecting it. Add a passkey or set a password first.
Signing in with a connected account
Once connected, choose Log in with Google or Log in with Microsoft on the sign-in page. ShiftSync recognises the account by the provider, not by the email address, so it finds your account even if the two addresses differ.
